About this referral service
Who runs Sunbury Roof Restoration, how roof enquiries reach independent roofers and roof plumbers, and who answers for the work.
Yes Right Pty Ltd (ABN 91 664 546 061) runs Sunbury Roof Restoration as a referral site for roof enquiries from Sunbury and the towns around it. Owners and property managers use it to describe a worn tile roof, a leak or a failing ridge line, and that description may be shared with an independent roofer, roof plumber or roof painter who may want to quote.
This website is not a roofing business, a plumbing business or a builder. It has no roofers on staff, no depot in Sunbury, and it does not hold a plumbing licence or building registration. It does not publish reviews, ratings or photos of completed jobs, and any images show the type of work discussed rather than a job arranged through this site.
What happens to your enquiry
- On the quote form you give your suburb, a phone number or email, the roof material (concrete tile, terracotta or metal) and what you have noticed, such as a ceiling stain, loose ridge caps or moss.
- We may share that enquiry with an independent roof business that covers your part of the Sunbury area and handles that kind of job, so it can contact you.
- That business chooses whether to quote. Expect it to ask for photos or to get up on the roof first, because tile breakage and ridge bedding are hard to price from the ground.
- The price, the written contract, any deposit, the start date and the warranty are settled directly between you and that roof business.
Sending the form is not a booking. No roofer is promised, and there is no set time for a reply. If a roof failure is putting people or the house in danger right now, do not wait on this form.
What the provider is responsible for
The business that quotes your roof is responsible for the quote, the workmanship, safety on site, permits it arranges and any warranty it offers. Before agreeing, ask for the scope in writing, including the number of tiles allowed for, the ridge work, the coating system, any metal work and how extra work will be priced. The roof restoration cost guide lists questions that help you compare quotes.
How to check a provider for roof work
Roof work in Victoria can involve more than one regulated trade, so the check depends on the job:
- Metal roofing, flashings, gutters and downpipes. This is roofing (stormwater) work under the Plumbing Regulations 2018, and the plumber must be registered or licensed in that class. Only a licensed plumber can issue a compliance certificate.
- Building contracts. Domestic building work above the value set by the Building and Plumbing Commission needs a registered builder. Consumer Affairs Victoria lists single-trade jobs, painting among them, that do not need registration when they are the only work involved.
- Asbestos removal. Removal must be done by a licensed asbestos removalist, listed on WorkSafe Victoria’s directory.
Use the BPC’s find and check a practitioner page to confirm a plumber’s class or a builder’s registration, including any conditions or limits on it. The BPC advises not to rely on advertising, business cards or quotes alone, and to check before signing a contract or allowing work to start. The BPC’s guide to engaging a plumber says every licensed and registered plumber is issued a photo ID card listing the plumbing work they are eligible to do, and that you can ask to see it at any time.
